Reminders, expiry and scheduled sending

Chase people automatically, close the loop on stale envelopes, and queue sends for later.

Automatic reminders

Set remind every N days on an envelope and SignSpry emails anyone who hasn't signed yet, on that cadence, until they do or the envelope expires. Reminders go only to the people currently holding it up — nobody who has already signed is pestered.

Every reminder is recorded in the audit trail, which matters if you ever need to show you gave someone a fair chance to respond.

Expiry

An envelope expires after its set number of days. Once expired, links stop working and the status changes to expired. You can set a default for the whole account under Admin → Settings, and override it per envelope.

You can always send a fresh copy of an expired envelope from its page.

Manual nudge

The Remind button on the envelope page sends immediately, without waiting for the schedule.

Scheduled sending

Prepare an envelope now and set send at to a future date and time. It sits in scheduled status and goes out on its own — useful for a contract that shouldn't land before a board meeting, or for sending during business hours.

All of this is driven by a sweep that runs every ten minutes, so a reminder or scheduled send may arrive up to ten minutes after its nominal time.
