Taking your data with you, and closing the organisation
How an admin exports every envelope and setting as one ZIP, and how the 30-day organisation deletion works, step by step.
Admins can download everything the organisation owns as one ZIP, and can close the organisation. Both are on Privacy & data (in the Admin sidebar it's Privacy, export & deletion).
Export everything
- Open Privacy & data.
- Under Export everything, press Build my export.
- When it says "Ready", press Download ZIP.
Small accounts are ready in seconds. Large ones are built in the background and you get an email when the download is ready. The file is kept for 7 days, and you can build one fresh export per hour.

Each audit trail is re-checked as the export is built, and the result is written into it. Envelopes whose documents were removed by your retention policy show a PURGED.txt; the trail and details remain. Passwords and secrets are never exported. Tax invoices stay on Plan & billing, so download those PDFs yourself.
Delete this organisation
This removes the organisation, its people, envelopes, audit trails, templates, API keys, webhooks and settings. Take an export first.
- On Privacy & data, read the four steps, then expand I understand — delete (your organisation).
- Optionally say why you're leaving.
- Enter your password, and your authenticator code if two-factor is on.
- Type DELETE and press Schedule deletion in 30 days.
What happens
- Envelopes still out for signature are voided now. Signers see the request was withdrawn.
- Any card subscription is cancelled and does not renew.
- Everyone else is signed out. For 30 days, admins can still sign in to a closing page to download an export or cancel. Nothing is removed in that time.
- On day 30 everything is permanently deleted. All admins get an email when you ask and a reminder 3 days before.
Billing records are kept, as tax law requires. Copies of signed documents that other parties downloaded are theirs. Deleted documents leave SignSpry's backups as those age out, within 30 days.
Changed your mind?
While the 30 days run, signing and sending are paused. An admin can press Cancel the deletion and reopen on the closing page at any time, and everyone can sign in again. Envelopes that were voided stay voided, and a cancelled card subscription has to be started again from Plan & billing.
