Which browsers and devices work
Any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone: what SignSpry needs, what phones can and cannot do, and how to fix a blank page.
SignSpry works in any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone. It needs JavaScript and cookies, and it needs a wider screen to place fields.
What you see
- On the prepare screen of a narrow window or a phone: This screen is too narrow to place fields accurately. Field boxes and their resize handles are a few pixels across at this width. Open this envelope on a laptop or tablet to lay it out — or use anchor tags so the fields position themselves. Recipients and options below still work.
- A signing page that asks for the access code or one-time code again after you already entered it.
- A page that stays blank, or buttons that do nothing.
- A sign-up bot check that does not load.
Why
SignSpry is a web app. There is nothing to install and no plug-in. We do not publish a list of tested browser versions, so the safest rule is a current, up-to-date browser.
- JavaScript runs the signing page, field placement and the editor.
- Cookies keep you signed in and, on the signing page, remember that you passed the sender's access code or one-time code. That memory is per browser session, so a new device or a private window asks again.
- The prepare screen is built for a laptop or tablet. At 860 pixels wide or narrower it shows the warning above.
- Signing works fine on a phone. Signers can draw or type a signature. The signing page uses its own dialogs rather than the browser's pop-up prompts, which some in-app browsers suppress.
- Ad blockers do not break signing. Analytics and advertising scripts load only after cookie consent and never on a signing page.
Fix it
A page is blank or buttons do nothing
- Update your browser and your device's system software.
- Try another current browser.
- Turn on JavaScript for signspry.com.
- Turn off extensions that rewrite pages, then reload.
The signer keeps being asked for a code
- Allow cookies for signspry.com. Essential cookies are needed for the signing page to remember the code you entered.
- Do not switch between a mail app's built-in browser and your normal browser halfway through. Each starts a new session and asks again.
Fields can't be placed
- Open the envelope on a laptop or tablet, or widen the window beyond 860 pixels.
- Or use anchor tags in the document, so fields position themselves.
The sign-up bot check does not load
- Where SignSpry shows a bot check (Google reCAPTCHA), allow it for the sign-up page and reload. It loads only on those forms.
Still stuck
- Check the status page first.
- Open a ticket from Support in the account menu (or at Support). Tell us the browser and its version, your device, what you clicked and what you saw.
