Searching inside every agreement

Full-text search across the contents of your signed documents, not just their titles.

Most contract archives can only find a document if you remember its name. The repository searches the text inside every agreement you can see.

Searching

Go to Repository and type. A few things to know:

  • words are prefix-matched — indemn finds indemnify, indemnity, indemnification
  • quote a phrase for an exact match: "30 days written notice"
  • results show the matching sentence with your terms highlighted
  • party names and email addresses are searchable too

Filter by status, folder and date to narrow things down.

Saved searches

The sidebar has starting points for the questions people actually ask — termination and notice, renewals, liability and indemnity, confidentiality, dispute resolution.

What's indexed

Any envelope that has been sent or signed, provided its documents contain real text. A scanned image with no text layer produces nothing to index. The sidebar shows how many of your agreements are indexed; Rebuild index re-reads anything missing.

Indexing happens automatically as agreements complete, plus a sweep every ten minutes for anything that arrived another way.

Who sees what

You see your own agreements plus anything in a shared folder. Nothing else. Search respects the same boundaries as the rest of the product.

Purged documents leave the index when they're deleted, so retention and search stay consistent.
