Redeeming a coupon

Where an admin enters a code, the three things a code can do, and what the messages mean when a code is refused.

Admins enter a code on Plan & billing. Depending on the code, it extends your trial, gives you a plan for free for a while, or takes a percentage off your first payment.

Redeem a code

  1. Open Plan & billing from the account menu. You need the Admin role.
  2. Scroll to Have a coupon? ("Codes can extend your trial or unlock a plan").
  3. Type the code and press Apply. Capitals don't matter.

If a code arrived in an email as an Apply link, the link opens this page with the code filled in; just press Apply.

The three kinds of code

KindWhat you get
Extra trial daysDays added to your trial.
A plan free for a whileFor example "the Team plan free for 3 months". The account is on a trial of that plan for that long, and the top bar shows the days left.
A percentage offTaken off your first paid charge. Some codes apply to your first year and only on yearly billing; the page says which.

A percentage coupon waits until you buy. Until then Plan & billing shows "Coupon CODE is waiting", with the percentage, and the discounted amount appears at checkout. If you redeem more than one, the newest is the one used.

If a code is refused

MessageMeaning
That code isn't valid.Mistyped, or switched off.
That code has expired. It had an end date, and it has passed.
That code has already been fully used.It had a limited number of uses.
Your account has already used this code. One redemption per account per code.

If checkout says the coupon can't be used

A discount is never quietly dropped: if it can't be applied to what you're buying, the checkout stops and tells you why.

  • The coupon applies to one plan: the message names it. Choose that plan, or write to support@signspry.com.
  • The coupon gives a percentage off yearly billing: switch to Yearly on Plan & billing.
  • Monthly billing in a foreign currency: percentage coupons work on yearly billing there, where the discount is taken from the payment directly.
  • The coupon is set up for card, not UPI AutoPay (or the reverse): a monthly coupon can be tied to one payment method. Pick that one, or ask support to add the other.
  • "We've held the checkout rather than charge you full price": the code isn't set up for your payment method yet. Write to support@signspry.com.
Codes are checked against your account, not your email: each account can redeem a given code once, and only admins see the Have a coupon? box.
