Slack, Microsoft Teams and cloud-drive import

Post envelope updates to Slack or Teams, import files from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, and connect a CRM.

The Integrations page connects SignSpry to Slack and Microsoft Teams, imports files from Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive, and points you to the REST API for CRMs.

Where to find it

In the Envelopes sidebar, under Shortcuts, choose Integrations. The link appears on plans that include the API; Slack and Teams are listed with the Team plan's features.

Slack

  1. In Slack, go to Apps → Incoming Webhooks → Add to Slack, pick a channel and copy the webhook URL.
  2. In SignSpry, paste it into the Slack card and click Connect.

The URL must start with https://hooks.slack.com/. SignSpry posts a test message before saving; if it cannot deliver one you will see why.

Microsoft Teams

  1. In the Teams channel, open … → Workflows and choose "Post to a channel when a webhook request is received" (a classic Incoming Webhook connector also works).
  2. Paste the URL into the Microsoft Teams card and click Connect.

The address must be on webhook.office.com or logic.azure.com.

What gets posted

Each message reads like "✅ Signed — “Service agreement” · Rahul Menon". These events are posted:

Good to know:

  • Each person connects their own channels, and the posts cover envelopes that person sends.
  • You can have one Slack and one Teams connection; connecting again replaces it.
  • A pill reading "N recent failures" means the last posts did not go through. Disconnect and connect again with a fresh URL.
  • The workflow action Post to Slack / Teams uses this same connection. See Workflows.
  • Test-key envelopes post here as well.

Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive

Paste a share link and SignSpry pulls the file in. Nothing stays connected to your drive; the file is fetched once.

  1. Share the file as "anyone with the link can view".
  2. Paste the link on Integrations, in the Start now dialog on Envelopes, or on the Templates page. A title is optional.
  3. Click Import.

PDFs open in the field editor. Word files and Google Docs links open in the document editor (a Google Doc is brought in as a Word file). The link must point to one file, and the file must be 25 MB or less, smaller than the 50 MB upload limit. The usual file rules apply. If nothing opens, the usual causes are a link that is not public, a file that is too large, or a type SignSpry does not accept.

CRMs and everything else

Salesforce, Dynamics 365, NetSuite and any system that can call a REST API can send and track envelopes with an API key and webhooks. Create a key with envelopes:write (add envelopes:read to check status), then see the REST API quickstart for the request format and Webhooks to hear back when something is signed.
